Our Origin

In May 2001, Ben Byrne started his career focused on financial advising. He had a simple goal, to do the right thing and work hard. After two years of relationship building, he realized that his clients were concerned with rising healthcare costs and were looking for additional employee benefits solutions.

Our Expansion

He expanded his services to include employee benefits. Shortly after he added this service, his clients expressed that they were looking for a one-stop insurance solution. He decided to expand his focus to offer a wider range of services. He wanted to provide comprehensive business solutions and become a full-service independent insurance agency. He started looking for a partner that was a good fit to expand the agency.

Our Growth

In late 2010, John Anderson joined the organization as a managing partner. John was a good fit for the culture and the agency. He would manage the day-to-day functions of business and personal insurance. The company evolved from Benjamin J. Byrne & Associates to Byrne Insurance Group (BIG).

Today, the agency is staffed with over 20+ employees. We are one of the largest independent insurance agencies in Louisville, KY serving clients nationwide. Our founding principles remain strong, and we find ways to make a big impact in our client’s life through community outreach and customer service. We are trusted and referred by financial advisors, CPAs, doctors, and HR professionals.
